Bachtiar

Description

Bachtiar

Bachtiar carpets are rustic Persian carpets, extraordinarily durable and characteristic in their patterns. Their proximity to the city of Isfahan is unmistakable: opulent medallions embedded in a basic floral pattern. Many Persian carpets with a garden design -a repeating arrangement of squares- are produced in Bakhtiar.Different qualities are produced with knotting densities ranging from 120,000 to 250,000 knots per square metre. The finest Bachtiari, also named Bibibaff, which means women's weave or grandmother's weave, to emphasise the fineness and care of weaving.
