Gholtogh

Description

Gholtogh

Persia is known to be a multi-ethnic state. The Kurdish population is native to western Iran and has been knotting since generations. The Bijar carpets, which are among the best-known Persian carpets outside Persia, are produced in the extensive Kurdish villages, as are other types of carpets. Gholtogh carpets also have a long tradition and are similar in pattern to Bijar carpets. The colours are rather dark, many rusty brown and blue colours. A firm pile texture makes this carpet very durable.
