Kerman

Description

Kerman

In the barren region of central Persia you will find the famous city of Kerman. The carpets of the same name captivate with their filigree floral ornamentation. Also typical are the so-called mirror Kermans, i.e. a free-form basic pattern (Persian: Kaf-zadeh) knotted with a centre piece. Old and antique kermans are popular collector's carpets, provided that they are in good condition. Fine Kerman carpets are marked with the addition "Lawer".
